Monterey County Commissions

Commissions are tasked with advising the Board of Supervisors on specific issues as well as performing oversight of specific programs or activities within the county. Each Supervisor is responsible for appointing commissioners to represent their District based on the bylaws of each Commission. Jane Parker is pleased to recognize and acknowledge the many individuals who serve the County as representatives of the Fourth District on County Commissions.

Fort Ord Veterans Adv. Committee Ralph Sirtak Take action to assist in developing a Business Plan Implementation Program for the development of the proposed Central Coast Veterans Cemetery (CCVC) to be located on the former Fort Ord. 

Historic Resources Review Board John N. Scourkes Promote the Public Health, Safety, and General Welfare by providing for the identification, protection, enhancement, and use of improvements, structures and areas within the County that reflect special elements of the County's architectural, artistic, cultural, historical  and heritage aspects.

The Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District is governed by a Board of Directors and exercises all the powers of the District.  Those powers include, but are not limited to, adopting the District's budget, setting staffing levels, adopting rules and regulations, setting District policies, authorizing litigation, and evaluating the performance of the APCO and District Counsel.
